Dr. Katie Dudley
Dr. Katie Dudley is an award-winning tourism researcher, professor and speaker with more than 20 years of experience working in, teaching and researching tourism. Her frontline experiences range from working as a whitewater raft guide in West Virginia to National Parks, golf courses, hotels, bars and restaurants across sixteen different states. She has also worked as a marketing specialist, brand analyst, corporate trainer and professor.
Her passion lies in combining humor and research to elevate the stories often left out of tourism conversations, exposing unspoken impacts and educating people in ways they can be more responsible tourists and better global citizens.
Katie has a PhD in parks, recreation and tourism management from Clemson University. She is skilled in developing entertaining and engaging ways to explore the complex and important issues surrounding the way we travel.
